what is the best place to put an egt probe? i'm running a divided manifold. should i put it in one of the runners before the turbo? is there any chance of the probe deterioating and damaging the turbo? what temps are good before and after the turbo?

Manifold runner is the best place.

 

from my experience most shops put it in the exaust housing of the turbo. i run 900 deg c at full boost/throttle
