EFR Series parts?

Does anyone know if there are companies repairing the EFR lineup turbos? I've been informed that BW does not offer replacement parts and you have to purchase an ENTIRE NEW TURBO if something ever happens to it.

Unfortunately I managed to munch the compressor wheel on my 8474 and now I have a $1600 paperweight. I find it ridiculous that I cant find a 3rd party that sells a replacement wheel either...

I'm hoping maybe someone here can help point me in the right direction so I dont have to spend a ton of money on a new turbo.

Thanks...

You don't have to purchase an entirely new turbo. You can purchase a supercore. I am not aware of anyone repairing them. It is similar to the Garrett GT series where you needed to purchase the chra, except the supercore also includes the compressor housing.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the SXE series line uses the same compressor cover and wheel? The EFR is just different center and hot side stuff?

There are 3rd party EFR compressors available, but I think the 8474 is too new still. No idea how good the quality or accuracy is with non-OE wheels, but they're $100-200 on eBay out of Taiwan. I believe that the EFRs are actually built there, so maybe they're genuine.

I would check out these companies first. I follow the boost lab on instagram and see them post mainly precisions getting rebiuld, but i have seen an EFR or 2 go through there.
