dynojet vs. dyno dynamics good info...

i figured this deserved its own thread since alot of people think that dynojets dont show "real" hp numbers. well i have been hunting down some info on dyno dynamics. most of the time when the dyno is used properly they will read 14-16% lower then a dynojet. here is a very good thread i found on freshalloy that shows a 240 dynoing a very high number on a dyno dynamics. what is said to have happened was the the bar. pressure was setup incorrectly. my point is that dynojet is the most consistant dyno for comparison. ie. posting online and comparing with one car setup to another. not to take anything away from a dyno dynamics they are better to tune because of the controlable load.

here is the link.

if you want to make comparisons using a dyno dynamics then you should be in "shoot out mode." i've never really understood the fascination with numbers as long as the car is tuned well, i'd rather chase other cars than chase numbers. to each his own though.
