theres only 12rwhp between the dynojet and the dyno dynamics. so its roughly 3-4% difference between the 2 dynos and this is after it was tuned.
This dyno is 20% low, it's been tested on atleast 100 cars. After Steve Kan tuned Daves GT35R, it made 386 after the correction.

Jason, this dyno does not. I questioned using this dyno when setting this tuning session up because of the low numbers it puts out but I couldn't beat the location. It's only 5 minutes from my house.

Like I said, Steve Kan is the man. He's tuned more cars than anyone in this thread and should know what #'s to expect. If he thought something was up, he would say it.

huh... whats there to hate? what does Steve Kan have anything to what Sean said?
YOU added the 20% correction factor to your #'s

as i stated before its been proven on Dave's runs on that Dyno Dynamics and the Dyno Jet that theres 3-4% difference even after it was tuned.

This is nothing personal between the you, Steve K, or anyone else just stating what was fact.

20% was added because that's the percentage that's needed to make the hp number right. Have you used the Axis Racing Dyno Dynamics, dyno? If you have then you would know how low it reads.

There is plenty of hating and doubt in this thread, you Aspec guys always seem to bust everyones *****

It's not my fault that Kans a better tuner than you guys

Just to clarify few things..

A-Spec dynoed my car on the low boost setting which was around 12.5-13pi
St. Louis dyno session was on 110 race gas.
The car has stock ports and a Racing Beat Dual Tip
I am attempting to set up a dyno session this week on a DynoJet to compare dyno numbers.

Oh please.... Yeah we bash on everyone. Here we'll play by the simple rules I was told we should play by, by someone else on this thread. Show me a corrected dyno sheet. Not one with 20% not one with settings switched, not one with Torque & HP meeting at some odd number Blah blah blah....... Simple. All I asked was, "Was it Dave's?" You went south with it.

FWIW, I've dyno'd my car on a mustang, a Dynapack, and a Dynojet. The Dynojet, and the Dynapack were within a couple percent of each other, the mustang was ~7-8% lower, all at 20 psi, all SAE, the curves were essentially identical. Any dyno that has you enter load values(drag, parasitic loss etc) can be manipulated any way the operator likes, everyone here knows that, that is why a dynojet is nice, it is simple, and it prints the correction right on the page if one is used. Motorsport Dynamics 2 hours from here has a dynapack, I will see if any of my buddies have used it, and a dynojet. Bottom line, is happy customers, which Steve has many, the rest, well....

FYI, when I was trapping 122mph with ET Streets, my dyno last year read 318 whp on that dyno. This was before the dyno started reading a little lower.

Why don't you change the name of the thread (and the 3 others you started) to state simply the facts with no fudge factors, estimated correction factors? Just state the dyno, and what it COULD read on a dynojet and move on, brother.

Be proud of what you did, "444 on XYZ dyno and I believe it could be 533 on a dynojet!"

Stick to the facts and let the rest of us apply the correction factors.

oh, you forgot to mentioned that those numbers marked (for rpm) is not set for rx7. It was actually set for wrx's. I don't want people thinking that we get full boost at 4500rpm. :P

If it was me honestly, I would be more happy bragging about trapping 122mph @318rwhp instead of making 533rwhp and runs 13's. j/k eric


It's funny how all these # game works. If I said I was only making 200rwhp and trap 100mph in the 1/4. people would say BS. either the track was wrong or I'm making more hp than I claimed.

but when it comes down to dyno #'s, people are just the opposite.

I'm not really sure about this, just asking a question, but could it be reading low due to it being an AWD dyno? Lupe mentioned this was done on an AWD dyno, and Steve mentioned it was setup for WRX's.
