DYNO'ED Today, 533whp @ 23 psi.

Steve Kan tuned my car today. He's the man.

My 93 put down 533whp @ 23 psi. 360 torque.

HKS T51R Kai
1300 cc secondaries
950 cc primaries
Ito template ported motor.
No timing, 16 degrees all the way across.
VP C16 gas
Power FC.
80% duty cycle

Car had more in it but my wastegate spring ran out.

This was done on a Dynodynamics Dynometer All wheels drive dyno.

Steve Kan can verify this

congrats man. post the sheet :)

Bacon 08-20-05 01:39 PM

MMMNNN Great #'s, cant wait for sept 10 when hees coming to my neck of the woods, Great #'s though

Suprising only 80% duty with those injectors, and that big of a turbo. Great #'s either way

Carl Byck 08-20-05 01:51 PM

Interesting, almost the same as my numbers at 23 psi on the 67(506/387). My HP is a little lower, my torque a little higher. Come to think of it, Steve commented on my low torque number, what did he think of your 360? Good Job, Carl

Slammedblk7 08-20-05 01:54 PM

GReat numbers, im hoping to be in that area with my car soon.

You will, just don't let BDC tune it ;)

BDC 08-20-05 03:30 PM

Bah! I thought my ears were red for a reason!!! ;)

GREAT stuff Lupe! Good to see the dyno figure. Awesome stuff! Yep it's got alot more in it with the gas you were using. That ought to be one hell of a ride. :D

lupe my i ask what is your fuel pump setup???

-dj

LUPE 08-20-05 05:52 PM

With the correction, my torque number was 414

This was also with 96 degree temperatures outside. We're still tuning cars so I'll have to come back later to answer questions.

iceman4357 08-20-05 07:04 PM

god your slow :) with those numbers you better hit 10s damnit!

Pressurized 08-20-05 07:24 PM

why only 23psi? are you gonna add water injection? any ignition break-up?

i like following your progress, you and i are heading down a very similar path. i've got a T51 on a large bridgeport, with 1600/1000....and it's also a smurfy blue color :D

Wastegate spring is too small to run higher boost. No injection...... no break up.

RICE RACING 08-20-05 08:08 PM

Congrats, nice power for that type of dyno too ;)

I love Power FC's set one up yesterday on a 3rd gen, there a great little computer.

kuroi FD 08-20-05 08:59 PM

I thought timing changed across the map as rpm and boost changes?

kabooski 08-20-05 10:16 PM

awesome Lupe !

HE should hit 10's OFF the throttle :rlaugh:

jacobcartmill 08-21-05 03:47 AM

yeah i'm curious about the timing myself...

BoostedRex 08-21-05 06:32 AM

Great numbers!! Are you planning on switching out wastegate springs and raising the boost? Not that you need to, but I'm curious.

dubulup 08-21-05 11:19 AM

dayem MBC's gotta love'em...If I remember correctly you have a "custom" MBC??? I believe with a ball and spring controller you can change the spring and run more boost on that same WG spring. <--easier than changing the WG spring.

Let's see the curves (and the ones on the car)! when is the track date?

Asleep 08-21-05 12:46 PM

Great numbers!

What base fuel pressue are you at? What AFRs for the peak of 80% INJ duty?

the_glass_man 08-21-05 02:26 PM

Great numbers now post the sheet! :D
This is just another great example of the PFC being able to make good numbers with a great tuner. Why so many people on here bash it is beyond me.

EKTwin93 08-21-05 06:04 PM

Yeah I'm also curious, what afr were you at with 80% duty cycle? C16 is great stuff.

ErnieT 08-21-05 07:42 PM

Very nice Eric. Should easily hit some low 10's with your rear setup.

kabooski 08-21-05 08:24 PM

his car must weight 2200Ilbs then
