Question Dynoed car, very low torque?

I recently had my car tuned on a dynojet dyno and it made 359rwhp and ONLY 274rwtq at 13 lbs of boost. Why do you think my TQ might be that low? My a/f ratio was 11.5:1.

Why were you running your a/f ratio so rich even with the rotary you should be able to keep it around 12:1 at 13psi or so. Also what did your a/f look like in the low rpms?

L&HRacing: He might be tuning for the street.. and 11.5:1 is a good safe A/F to shoot for..

Not for a street car... even with a race car, I'd be scared to go any leaner than 11.8:1. 11.5:1 is on the lean side of beaing safe for streetability, but it is still a fine AFR....

Sounds to me like your timing is off... What ECU are you using? Do you have the timing maps? Also, post the dyno chart. what size exhaust ports do you have? Intake ports? Did you datalog the run? Does the dyno have a wideband reading on it? Did you watch EGTs on the run?

dude, sit back, read a little and learn something. People do actually listen to people on this forum and your advice will end up messing someones car up. Please do you homework before you go telling someone to run their car at 12.0. Although I do agree that 12.0 is good for making HP. Its not really safe for reliability.

Thats fine if ya'll wanna be like that about it but i think the idea is to make you car fast. And if trying to give me **** makes you feel better then go ahead but 12:1 isn't all that dangerous.

Maybe i should just sit back and read what you guys type then i would learn something. OK But making horsepower is the game and if you can't handle that then i'm sorry.

Sure, if you can guarantee fuel quality and the octane you're getting it at...

Pump fuel (which most of the folks run) is barely 91-93 (R+M)/2 octane.&nbsp Quality is ok at best.

It is safer to run mid to high 11's on the AFR's than risk blowing the motor up cause of questionable fuel quality.

Sure, if you can tune your cars at the very edge of detonation, go for it - I didn't say this was impossible.&nbsp Can you put a guarantee that the motor won't be lost due to fuel quality?&nbsp Or do you have to put in the AV gas everytime you fill up?

I'd say it sound like a big turbo, stock exaust port problem... also maybe the leading/trailing ign timming split...

Hey, T-70 FD, ever raced the FD and Cobra, i have a t-78 FD at 16 psi and a freind of mine has a '98 cobra he was thinking about putting the s-trim on and he thinks he'll be able to hang with us, just curious if you had ran the two side by side.
