Does anyone run a PTE T71-GTQ?

I'm running a gotham racing half bridge, and an AEM EMS, along with a methanol injection kit. A local guy is selling a Precision T71-GTQ for sale, with a tangential .96 A/R undivided exhaust housing. It is new in the box, the price is amazing, but will this turbo be a good fit for my car? Being a half bridge and going to a large turbo it's obviously not my daily driver anymore, but I do intend to drive it lots on the weekends and maybe once a week to work if the weathers nice, so I don't want to have some huge lagmaster turbo. Is anyone here using this? When does it start to make boost? How's the efficiency at low boost levels?

Sounds like a match made in heaven... you might want to get a divided housing though, because it will help the spool

My issue, does anyone even make a divided turbine housing for a GT-Q trim exhaust wheel?

A lot of places can have any turbine housing machined to fit the GTQ wheel. You can also contact Precision, as they would probably have turbine housings in stock.

Yes, the standard P-trim exhaust housing is machined out to accept the GTQ turbine wheel.

This additional labor justifies the additional cost of this setup versus the standard P trim stuff.

Carx7 had his backside milled out for the GTQ wheel b/c he needed it divided.. it ended up cost right around $700 including the cost of the backside (was a divided .84) he also had a ball bearing center section made tho too. he gets 19 psi by 3700ish on a street port.

I opted for the pt67 gtq .81 undivided and i get 19psi by about 5000 on my stock port RE.

I have heard from many People that runnning a un-divided housing on a divided mani works better then the divided housing? You will not notice nay difference.

Everything I have read from experienced people on this forum suggested divided/divided is the way to go. Precision only sells undivided housings as they claim it makes more power and doesn't help spool. I disagree, but really have no proof, so that's hard to argue. Also, when I talked to .... Harry I think... at Precision he did say that their expereince with more power from undivided is specifically related to piston motors, and we all know that rotaries behave very differently.

I wanted to do a dyno comparison with the two, but since I run a 4" DP it's kinda hard to justfity the cost of a undivided housing just to prove which one makes more power.

As for the spool of my turbo, I am very happy, and am convinced that the .84 housing and GTQ wheel are good for more than 500RWHP, so I don't see a reason to go bigger. The difference in spool time between my turbo and rxtreme's could be explained with several differences: divided housing, BB CHRA, 4" exhaust vs. 3", tunned length manifold (I can't remember what he runs), and SP motor. I would guess it's the combination of all that, rather than one component that results in faster spool.
