Does any other turbo fit on the apexi rx6 exhaust manifold?

i just messed up my intake side compressor wheel on my IHI turbo and was wondering if any other turbo will fit on the apexi exhaust manifold, because i really dont feel like shelling out 2200 bucks for a new rx6b turbo. Or does anyone have an extra IHI turbo laying around? Thats a long shot i know, just figured i would ask. If anyone also has a used full apexi kit for sale at a reasonable price let me know. Has anyone ever dealt with this situation before? Is it possible to get the wheel clipped? thanks for any info.

no, but you might be able to use some kind of adapter to change the bolt pattern.

I was having problems keeping the car to idle right, it kept stalling every time I stopped the car, so I thought it might be the filter that was bogging it down at idle, I took the intake off and was on my way to get a screen from home depot to screen off the inlet on the compressor housing and one of my vacuum hoses got sucked into the turbine, breaking 3 of the blades. Yeah, im a ******* moron, please keep the harassing at a minimum. I guess im going to try and call IHI direct and see if they sell the compressor wheels separately.

Good luck getting parts for that turbo!! I have no actual experiance with any IHI kits, but what the concensis seems to be is the Rx6 turbine has a T3 flange on it. A GT35r (aka> gt35/40) has a t3 turbine footprint and a slightly larger compressor. Those can be had for nearly 2/3 the cost of a replacement IHI.

a-spectuning.com can probably get a GT35R for you.

If you still have a good turbine on the RX6, I bet you can find someone with an RX6 that has a broken turbine. TEC (http://turboengineering.com/) should be able to take the two broken turbos and make one good one.

It might even be possible to use another (commonly available, unlike the IHI part) compressor on there with some reworking of the housing. Give TEC a call and see what they say. They were able to trim the turbine on my RX6 to remove some damage after it encountered some apex seals in the exhaust flow.

Satan, If you ever want to sell turbo, please let me know. I have a chewed up turbine wheel. The RHX6 turbo is not a T3 flange. Is somewhat between a T25 and T3 in size.
