i there any gain or loss to switching to a divided turbine housing without having a divided manifold. i ask because the size housing im looking for only comes in a divided off tang configuration. thanks in advance.

Its not adviseable. A divided manifold and open valute turbine is ok (optimumly you'd want divided manifold and divided turbine), but running a collected manifold and divided turbine is a bad idea. It will work, but you'll hamper spoolup and eventually the heat from the rotary will warp/crack the center divider on the turbine. What turbine size and A/R are you looking for? For t4 sized, divided you have .84, 1.00, and 1.15, for none divided your choices will be .81, and .96.
