well the front nut of my HKS TO4R came off today and chewed up the comp wheel
so what should be my next turbo?
my TO4R had a 1.32 back half mad tons of power the car went 10.8 in the quarter
so i want to something equal to or little bigger.

Sorry to hear that, but it seems to be a common problem with the HKS turbos. They should apply loctite on the bullet nut to prevent them from coming loose...

 

For the $ that HK$ charges they should be able to afford a few drops of locktite....

 

Loctie would messup the JDM aerodyanmics!!

Just get a regular T04-R. I'm more then happy with my unit....pulls like pissed off unicorn @15lbs.............

 

well after inspection loctite was not used the bullet came off and beat on thecomp wheel which broke pieces of metal all the way up to my t-body jammed the butterflys open and possible in the motor.
i pulled the plugs and upper intake peaked down the runners but no signs of metal...spark plugs had no metal on the tips so i am going to do something with the turbo
question us what gt40 cartridge?
just buy a new T51r?

 

okay so it is a toss up either a GT4094r cartridge or a brand new HKS T51R spl bb turbo?

 

I remember being over at Rotary Performance one weekend and seeing a T51R that had been destroyed from the same thing........
