custom single turbo manifold! your thoughts?

Hi everyone am in the middle of a single turbo conversion, I saw some posts on price of single turbo manifolds and making your own and thought you might like to see mine! have tried to attach pics lol This was made by herbert fabrication in auckland. i dont wanna put it in my car i just want to leave it on my coffee table in the lounge lol let me know what you think

Interesting that you ran the plumbing for the waste gate forward. Are you sure you wont have packaging problems? I guess you venting to the atmosphere.

it was designed by the guy who is doing the build on my car. no the waste gate is plumbed back in to the dump pipe or i wouldnt be able to get a warrant lol if you look at the pic of it clamped in the vice you can see it plumbing back in. everything is fitting in well so far!

$3750 nz $ totally worth it as far as i am concerned! they did an awesome job on the rest of my exhaust to. am contemplating on getting them to make me a surge tank can anyone tell me if there is a place for a surge tank to be fitted under the car? of topic slightly sorry.

nope that was just the manifold the whole exhaust cost me round figures of 5g and that didnt include the wastgate! lol the rest of the job looks awesome as well. oh there was a heat shied in that price to!

damn man... I'm not sure of the exchange rate but... you might want to look into some other shops out there... that seems like a HUGE number..

i like there work it looks and seems excellent. they have never mucked me round so i dont mind paying for a good service would recommend them to anyone. but i guess if you were on a tight budget you might wanna price around. the first guy priced me 1200 nz$ for the same thing but he had car for like 4 months and never did anything so i moved car to herberts. i wonder what sort of job i would have got for the 1200 haha

probably the same thing, hell we get *** raped in the uk for work compared to the US and even here it would have cost $2000nz MAX and that includes a 5in downpipe!

they even made the flanges they are 16mm thick! and the stainless tube is high grade with a 2mm wall. its way better than anything available on the market here and i guess you get what you pay for lol
