I see all of the tt guys talking about the cai but I really don't hear anything about single guy having one? Does anybody out there have a cai setup or any place that sells one? I've got a few ideas in my head but trying to get more ideas and possibly seeing someone elses.

 

Here's an idea I have been playing with. Someone makes a foil covered foam board (about a 1/4-3/8 in thick) for the heating and air conditioning industry to line or fabricate ductwork. By taking some of that material you could essentially build a good sized cold air box around your intake filter and then route a duct (fabricated from the same material) from the box to the nose. Alternatively, you could route the fabricated duct to the passenger side headlight which could be fitted with a ducted cover. The good thing about this material is that it is very stiff, extremely well insulated and can be cut and glued to produce any variety of shapes and sizes.

About the only thing you would have to watch when fabricating the ductwork is that you don't design a volume restriction that robs the free flow of air. Think venturi.

Like I said, I haven't tried this yet ---It is still in the planning stage.
