Talking Check out this Single Turbo setup.

This is some crazy looking ****.

One of the weirdest looking FD's I've seen.

Can anyone explain any of this pic?

Just different. What is all that covering on the UIM and whats with that turbo system? Is this entire engine bay covered in some tin work or something?

Someone likes snap-on tools alot. Looks to be a j-spec FD. A little cramped but very cool looking though.

Looks cramped - opposite of my style for sure! I'm into the clean clear engine bays (simpler is better!).

I think the tin is some sort of heat shielding... not sure why it's there b/c I highly doubt it does much of anything in places like on top of the intake manifold.

The two lines going into the intercooler's "cold side" tubing appear to be 2 additional fuel injectors. What I don't understand is why they are mounted so far downstream!?!?

That piping doesn't look too nice. Not sure if it's mandrel bends or not, but it looks kind of "cramped" the way it's routed and bent. It's huge in diameter - probably 3 inches.

Is that a BOV I see mounted just behind the IC feeding off the intercooler piping? If so, why is there such a long feed pipe off the intercooler pipe for it?

Not my type of engine set up at all. I wonder what all the info on it is...

Looks to me that they just cut some straight piping up in real small pieces and then welded it together the way they wanted. G-H-E-T-T-O

They might be injectors... but it's hard to tell. If they aren't injectors it may be an alcohol/water injection set-up.

I'd believe it if that car was in Japan. They really like to section and weld pipe together when they can't figure out how to bend it properly. Who knows about that metal on the UIM. Decoration? Heat shielding? Look closely and you'll see the custom made tb elbow. That looked fun to make. Those are additional fuel injectors.

That car is in Japan. It is for sale, I was just checking out some cars on there and I saw this engine bay and I thought it looked pretty fucked up.

Looks like the heat shields on the UIM are just to match the look of the heat shield on the exhaust turbine.

its most likly titanium (spelling?) because you cant mendrel bend it much, or at all, that is why it is cut and welded like that

crazy looking stuff yo... i'd be curious what kind of power he's pushin. definately looks like an after thought under the engine bay.
i'd could only think the injectors are so far down to cool off the fuel. and the heat shields for the heat from the hood in the sun, but hey, what do i know, could be some junk some tard put together.

It's got a huge *** IC and the "bends" in the pipe are pretty smooth, if not pretty. The elbow looks pretty nice. It isn't
"perfect" but I bet it works pretty well overall.

the bends look good, but they sure seem very small for the size of the intercooler. definately a japanese car though, master cyliinder is on the right hand side.

i like the look of those welded pipes. looks like it too some time..
