Yea thats Blakes 240 we took it to street machines yesterday and its doing pretty good. The car was built at 417motorsports springfield mo. 4178651324. Its just one of the many turbo setups done there from supras, vettes, camaros, 240's, datson 210 thats full chassis with ford 4cyl turbo soon to be ls1. He has the only trans am twin turbo kit that alows for a/c to be retained. He builds all his own headers and parts thats what i help with is parts and some labor and some $$. The 240 should go low 9's maybe high 8's. When complete and the race motor it should be 1000. h/p +. built all the air to water system with trannie coolier sheet metal intake and what you see. I will get the secound gen done some day with turbo set up if we ever get time. Thanks for the complements i will let Blake know you saw it.

As soon as we figure out how to hook up the throttle cable we will find out if its fast. Someone put the throttle boby on the wrong end of the intake manafold! lol. The cars around here on the street dont give an rx7 much chance. Eric you can imagine how much pressure i get to go ls1 and how much crap for staying with the dorito motors!

Ill work on it but i hate to show how stupid i was for thinking a blower would work on the rotary, but it sounded f'n awsome 9000.00 on a blower rotary is way louder than a turbo 7 and much quicker rev off idle to 25 lbs.

**** no, it goes really really fast instead. but props to Blake at 417 for the work. i think i might have him build me a cage this winter....even though he wanted to put an ls1 in my fd when she was down for the count

I belive its a gt4788 but im not sure. When the cars tested on this set up he will do a fully built motor and probly increase the turbo size. The motor now is a 6 liter with heads and cam with studs. It still should be a hand full.

Charlie, when are you coming to St.Louis next ?

They've got a local track (Benton) here that does a monthly "King of the Street" competition that involves a 12 mile cruise. The have a import class too. 12 mile cruise, can't swap tires, can't refill your tank.......................

Anyhow, the local imports that have been winning are running 8.30's in the 1/8th !!!!!!

$250 pay out.

They also have the drag radial class........ that's when all the bad to the bone 10.5 cars come out.

It's just 45 mins away from me.

Great time, tech is non-existent............... track hooks hard hard hard

I drive the 11.5 et's 30 to 50 miles all the time as traction is an issue the way i drive and i have no problems. The car is still in the paint shop and i missed street machine nats becouse the painters wife had surgery and didnt get it done. I need to get it back and see what to do i was invited to go to the georgia event but thats a long distance to travel. I will let you know if i can make it i think i run 7.0 or high 6's in the 1/8.
