On center or side mount turbine
I am using a mainfold like the obx and i am concerned with the turbo fitting in the car. Here are the specs on the turbo
To4s 62-1
70a/r comp side
4 inch inlet
96a/r exhaust side
T4 flange
My question is what would be a better mounting method. Side or on center. Let m eknow what you guys think.

Every 13B I've ever seen with a single turbo(that's quite a few) have used the side. The ONLY cars I've seen run an on-center exhaust housing are 20B's
It makes no difference on what kind of motor you run to determin the standard tangical (side) or on-center turbine housings. On center housings tend to flow less, this means for and equal A/R turbine housing thats tang verses a on center, the on center will spool slightly slower AND have less top end. On center housings should only be used if you have no other way to mount a tang housing and you have really tight compartments. You can always run a on center and maintain spool by going smaller a/r if you plan on not running super high outputs.
For what its worth, the OBX manifolds work on the Turbo II motors if you run a on center housing. If you want an optimum set up, get a divided turbine to match your divided manifold and either mod your manifold or make spacers so the turbo fits. BTW, on center housings ONLY come in non divided.

i was going to go with the 115 a/r but thought it might not fit. That would of been a fully divide mainfold and turbine. With the 96 it will be a divided mainfold and non divided turbine. I did a search and though this would work ok Thanks for the info
