Cant decide on turbo for fc.....help!!

im looking for a turbo that will put me at 300-350 hp on stock internals, non ported. i need a very quick spooling turbo so i would prefer it to be ball bearing. i dont want to spend ridiculous amount of money but would like as much info as possible on what you guys think might work. this setup is for drifting if that helps any. thank you

whats a rediculous amount of money?

Maybe a bnr turbo (this would save you from buying manifold, custom exhaust, wastegate)

http://www.bnrturbos.com/2ndGen.htm

probably want the full turbo upgrade if your going to be drifting tho...

Good luck!

i really dont want close to 500hp, really no more than 375, but anything around 300 would be fine. what about this one? http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...o-p-34381.html all i would need is a manifold, and i already have my intercooler done

Most of those numbers are estimated using a ideal engine for that turbo.

You figure when a GT42 says 800-1000hp, you figure half to three quarters of that on a rotary. More like 400 to 750.

A good turbo for low boost levels on your setup would be a GT35r, at 12psi you should be right around 350-360hp with stock ports.

talk with the guys at A Spec, or the guys at RX-7.com FWIW I have dealt with Sean at A spec on several small items, and his customer service was outstanding. both companies offer kits that either use their own manifolds, or a HKS cast manifold. My friend has the GT35R on a cast HKS mani and it runs right around 375 at 14 psi with very very quick boost response.
