Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I'm looking for information on troubleshooting issues with low boost pressure. I have read that it is more often than not the control mechanism and not the turbo as being the cause of the low pressure.
In my car the gauge when at an idle is below 0 and while in hard acceleration only goes up to 0 or slightly above.
I just recently had the intake apart due to a mouse chewing through my air cleaner and packed crap up in the fins. I got all that out and the thing still spins freely. I don't know how easy it's supposed to turn but I can turn it with my fingers. It isn't like a fan where I can flick my finger and it will continue to spin.
The car had low boost before the mouse incident so it's not the debris that caused the low boost condition.
Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.
