Talking Buying a non turbo FC with Turbo kit extras

Hey everyone. I'm a little new to the Rotary world although i've messed with a few. I've tuned and repaired an FD, built a Roll bar and Harness bar for an FB. But other than that, i'm pretty much new. I know how they work and everything unlike half of america who hate them because they are non piston engines. Mechanics freak out about them just like Diesel lovers do if you throw a spark plug in front of there face hahaha. (They don't used spark plugs)

Anyway, getting ready to buy an FC non turbo (not sure of year 87-88) But it has 170k on the body, 62k on motor, new apex seals silicone tips? and ported and polished. I think it was just a mild street port done. But he has a front mount intercooler, a third gen turbo, 550cc injectors and fuel rails, and the ecu is from an 87 Turbo II. My question is, What will i need to do other than install all of these parts to get this car running properly and or Tuned? Will the third gen turbo change any readings to the 87 Turbo II ECU?

Please let me know asap, i'd like to buy this car this week. Thanks again. Any help would be appreciated.

There is much to learn. I suggest you go nuts with searches in the 2nd gen section. Turbo charging the NA engines is not something many people have succeeded in.

This whole 3rd gen turbo thing. Not enough info. Regardless, BAD idea as they are twins. I've heard of the entire 3rd gen motor being put into a 2nd gen chassis, but not the 3rd gen twins on a 2nd gen motor.

I don't believe it is a twin setup selling with the car, i haven't got pictures of the kit yet. But from what i was told it comes with just one from the 3rd gen. Which i would think is smaller than the Turbo II single turbo, Right? I know there is much to learn, although i know a lot already. I've been looking into these cars for roughly a year now and like i said had my hand on a few. Just never owned one myself and searched around what is all possible with them such as turbocharger the NA and all that good stuff ha. But thanks man. I will set up pics of the kit if i get them.

But question, Why haven't people had much success with turbocharging the NA? What goes wrong? Seals go bad fast?

From the 2nd gen FAQ:

Can I swap a Turbo engine/Jspec engine/13BT/etc into my Non Turbo?
Yes, check these links:

What Turbo kits can I add onto my non turbo RX-7?
There are no longer kits formally made at the time of this post, however there are companies from time to time that do make available non turbo to Turbo Kits. Because most of these companies stop building the kits, or go out of business in short time, it is impossible to keep active links for them.

Most people that turbo a non turbo make their own kits:
Using the stock TII turbo, exhaust manifold with spacer, NA intakes and NA ECU:

Thanks man ha the guy i'm buying the kit from actually told me about Aaroncake.com and i saved it. I haven't got a chance to check it out yet but i will today. Thanks for all your help. My main concern is, IS THE NA 13B CAPABLE OF HANDLING BOOST? I'm not to far caught up on the strengths of these motors yet. And another thing. Where can i shop around for engine parts, such as High comp rotors, O-rings and stuff like that? I haven't searched much but i figured you guys would know the best place right off the bat. Thanks again
