Just save me the bandwidth and don't do it. You'll be happier living with the twins. I know I would have been happy with my twins.

IF only I hadn't driven his single. Will my twins ever forgive me?

The difference has to be felt to be appreciated.
Well, I wouldnt say I'm a hater, I'm all for singles lol

I was just comparing the 2 cars you were talking about and it just didnt sound like that much difference when run at the same boost levels. However that can be due to a bunch of things. Eyeballing car lengths isnt the most scientific way of doing it and really isnt accurate lol. I'm sure there is a bigger difference between the two than is sounds. Baddog, you should turn your boost up to 16-17psi, tune your car and do it again to see how much difference there is between them.

nocab72- from what you are saying about your power with twins and it not being as fast at Baddogs even with same tuning and mods, I'd guess that your turbine wheels were probably bad. Did you ever blow a motor with those turbos? If so the apex seal prob ate up the turbine wheels and you just didnt know it. Youd never know it except that it wont have the power

Anyway, I'd like to see some 16psi dyno numbers with that GT35/40 I guess that would be a more accurate comparison hehe

Later,
STEPHEN

Nope, original engine, original turbos, just rolled 40k miles. 94 touring. Turbos and exhaust manifold looked very good upon inspection after removal. I am the second owner of the car, purchased it with 31k miles on it in Feb 02. The previous owner was pretty "gentle" to the car, so I doubt it was broken in hard enough to reach max potential. Not wanting to get into another break-in debate, but I believe that after the first 1000 miles you need to drive the car like you are going to drive it everyday. If you don't drive it hard shortly after breakin, it will never reach its potential. I know the guy I bought it from never drove it as hard as I typically do.

Also, I'll have dyno numbers after Oct 11/12th. Toy posted his stock ported numbers a few weeks ago, 401rwhp @ 15.5psi. Ihor (Silver93TT) posted his KDR Monster ported engine dyno numbers as well, I believe 430rwhp @ 15psi both these cars has GT35/40 setups.

Badog is making approx 350rwhp with his twin setup @ 14psi, I'm confident I'm over 400rwhp @ 16psi even with my current engine.

Are You guys going to push the boost up a bit so We can see what they pull like at say 18 PSI? I bet there will be a big difference at 20 PSI.
As soon as I can get my WB O2 back from someone, I am going to start in on a "certain moderator's monster ported" T78 car. Then there are 2 more T78s waiting in the wings. The others with stock ports.

Disclaimer: all turbos were purchased through the RX7 Store, since the store is local to all of us.

Ernie,

We can set that up. But you would have run a whole PASSLE of us here in the heart of BUCKEYE land, to make it more fun. Heck, I'd run ya! We have 3 T78s and a GT35/40. A couple of phone calls and we can dig up some more! Heck, we have a dyno event out here on Oct.10th, why don't you come on out for that!

We've had a couple of 6 WIDE runs down a certain strip.

You guys will like this. I swear on my grandmothers grave, its no b.s. either. I couldn't get to the IMStar drag even at ATCO today because I broke my driver side axel Friday night when I went to the track, doing a burnout, of all things. All is well, but it took two days to find the right clips for my new chrome molly axels.

Anyhow, Demetrios K. (Reactive Racing) got my new axels in and my new 14lb. wastegate spring. (Took my 8lb spring out....was opening the wastegate too soon)

Now to the good stuff! Demetrios was tuning me with his wideband on I-70 for about 24lbs of boost (race gas). A Honda CBR 900RR comes up next to me. We hit it from about 70mph to about 135mph. I pulled about 4 cars on him, then let off because I started to lean when I went into fifth gear (boost creeped to 27psi) But what a rush!! I've never raced a bike and let me tell ya, that guy was pissed! It was an experience I won't soon forget.
Later on we figured out why my boost kept going up. My vacume line to the wastegate melted shut so my wastegate never opened! I fixed it when the car cooled down. Too bad I can't run 27lbs all the time....

Ernie,

Get some braided vacuum line on there, will ya! Wait, was it SS braided already? Sheet. Run Earl's SS with and get some fireproof sleeves!

Man, oh, man. You need to come out here and do a clinic for the Central oHIo singles club (and I don't mean marital status) on how NOT to break stuff.
