Borg turbo ?s

when running a borg turbos do you have to run any oil restrictors or anything?

and does anyone know if they require any special fittings for the oil supply and drain?

thanks!

i believe all of bw turbos are journal bearing and dont require a restrictor...

not sure about the oil return thread size... the company i bought mine from had the 90fitting that turns it into a 1/4 npt thread... so a simple 1/4 npt to -4an worked for me...

oil return i got from the same company a flange that converts it to 1/2npt then used a 1/2npt to -12an fitting

im running an s366 if that matters

hhmmm. some sites actually recommend -3an line and if you run a-4an then run a restrictor.

like this ; under "application notes": http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1908

better off with too much oil than not enough. Run it without a restrictor, and if you get smoking then do something about it.

i always worry about the right restriction.

if some turbos get too much pressure they blow their seals and start smoking.

but a -3an line is a restrictor in its self most times
