boost and throttle problems
I reccently converted my gxl to turbo with a stock turbo engine, microtech, and rb turbo back. I used the stock maps which are supposed to be insanely rich and when I drove it bogs under 3k so it is rich right? I also set full rich when it goes over 10 psi to save it from spikes but it actually hit 19psi once. Wastegate is ported as big as the stock flapper can cover. When I was driving, i heard a fast tapping sound. Is that knock?
When I stepped on it and let off, the car would still rev by itself and when i shifted and clutched back I would get wheelspin as if I powershifted when I didn't. Why or how would that happen? Could a vac leak allow more air in and keep it revving with the extra fuel from the rich mixture? Or is it just a throttle linkage problem? I really need to know and thanks in advance.
