boost problem

Hey I got a 1987 turbo II and I replaced the turbo cuz the old one was shot. When I fired the car up and went for a spin it has no boost at all. We've checked everything from vacuum lines to fuel flow. The car runs fine, except now it runs like a n/a rotory. What can cause the car to have no boost?

Wastegate swinging free? Make sure you connected the actuator rod to the wastegate swing door lever thingy.

Actuator is hooked up to the wastegate.

wastegate could be stuck open, or you could have a massive air leak.

Yea the only way its not boosting is becuase the turbo isn't spinning (no manifold pressure ie: stuck openwastegate) or it is spinning but you've got a leak in the intake, or both.

i"ve put new vacuum lines on, and tested the vacuum and its all good, and just barely replaced the turbo once again and that helped a little bit, but its still not boosting like it should. And also the exaust is good, no leaks or plug-ups....**** this car is pissing me off.
