Boost Controllers
im just looking for some feedback concerning electronic boost controllers.
whenever i hear people talking about their turbo setups, i almost never hear anything about a boost controller, and whats this about at a certain boost the rear rotor shuts down. is it true? is this why i dont hear alot about boost controllers? forgive me if this question seems a bit retarded im new to all this. thanks

Mostly everyone with aftermarket turbos uses a boost controller, either electronic or manual. With an aftermarket setup, you aren't going to get fuel cut because you either have a new ECU or have defeated the fuel cut with a FCD.
Personally I have the Blitz SBC-iD electronic boost controller. I haven't had a chance to try it on my car since the single turbo but on the twins it worked great and the one on my VR4 works great as well.
I would do a search on them if you want some more info.

Since its electronic, does it controll boost better? say the selenoid opens up and releases pressure, but if boost gets too high it quickly seals up the pressure leak etc? that would be pretty damn worthwhile to have if it could do that. Justify the price at least.
My Blitz unit lets you control how fast the wastegate opens and such and comes with a built in boost gauge that lets set a preset amount and then cuts boost to avoid overboost situations. I like it. It gives me 4 preset boost levels that can adjusted from inside the car by pressing just one button, its nice for people like to normally drive on low boost and then turn it up to race someone and then have yet another setting for race gas and such.
