bolt on turbo.

i am about to buy an 89 n/a rx7 non turbo. The guy is also giving a 13b turbo engine woth the purchase. could i just bolt the turbo system onto the motor i have.

Don't bother. It costs more to convert the NA to a turbo engine equivalent to a stock TII than it does to just sell the NA and buy a TII! Plus if you are doing all the work and spending the money, you'll probably want something faster than a stock TII, so that's even more money.

This question gets asked about every second day in the Second Gen forum. The search function is down right now, but there should be a recent thread about it within the past week that you can check out to get more info about this.

ok...what about bolting in the 3rd gen twin turbo motor...i could bring the front half stright from japan...has anyone done this...

A few people have also done this. This will cost even more, and the benefit will not be much more than the TII with a few mods. You will want to upgrade the engine by getting rid of the twin turbos and the whole "rats nest" anyway.

ya but the fd3s are good for like 260 bhp from factory. can the tII really go there?

ok...check this. I'm the importer and distributer of the eram electric supercharger to the middleeast and greece. I cant wait to get my hands on the ride and start testing. does anyone have any experience with these units.
