Block off plates...

Does anyone know if the block off plates come with the hks to4r kit?

Also what all needs to be blocked off when going single with a 3rd gen?

Making a mistake... Buy this one, and save money and get a better quality kit that is backed by a quality shop, that is based in the U.S. and is easy to contact for assitance...

You used to be able to get blockoff plate sets from Rx7store.net but I'm not sure if they still carry them...

I agree with modrx7 as to making a mistake, but to each his own... I also belive in freedom of choice

GT40R is about the same size as the t04r kit... it makes 450 at around that on a stock unported engine.... which is about the same as what the to4r will make but with much slower spool and not tech support. Also if you have read in the single section, I guy had the nut come off of his to4r, and he had a pain in the butt getting it replaced.

TO4r is a plain bearing turbo, while the GT40R is a Dual Ball Bearing turbo, which is both oil and watercooled. The GT40R will make around the same power level as the T04R on the top end, but also come in sooner. Also one thing to think about is tunning, when you are dealing with about the same size turbo, tunning is what is going to make the difference. Also with an HKS kit you are paying alot for the name. Just my thoughts, I sent you a pm.

I have dynoed the HKS T04R and it makes no where near 450RWHP at 15lbs of boost.

It should be able to make around 400 at 15lbs, though.
