bigger compressor in stock housing

I was on the phone with my buddy with whom we take machineing class together.

He told me all they do is bore out the center of the housing.

I was always under the impression that you would also need to bore out the curved part too? Im willing to experiment. I already have a s5 t2 turbo with a to4 intake side. I am not 100% sure which to4 e or to4b, but I want to put in the bigger compressor wheel, just like the bnr stage 3

If you have a TO4 'intake side', it sounds like you already have an upgraded compressor wheel?

Intake side = compressor, exhaust side = turbine.

Yewah, the stage 2 is a to4 intake housing and compressor wheel. The stage 3 is a to4 housing but machine to a 60-1 compressor wheel.

In other works I am highly considering maching my to4 housing to fit the 60-1 wheel

Machinng a compressor housing isn't anything a novice could do. Its a faily cmplex shape and tolerances must be kept tight if you want the compressor to work at all like its supposed to. Its mostly done via CNC these days and unless you get the coordinance from a turbo shop, its HARD to get the shape correct. Its really difficult to measure, but it can be done by a compitent machinist.
