Hey Eric, since your planing on running methanol full time why don't you just build a draw through carb setup. You don't have to do near as many mods to the carb and it should be a lot easier to tune.

BTW why are you running a 80mm turbo if your only shooting for the mid 8s?

i must say i have tons of blowthrough expierience doing hundredes of setups through the years with great results.. blowthrough systems are the eccinomical way to enjoy boosted power without breaking the bank .. in the begining i raced for years with a blowthrough setup in my car and got quite a few wins under my belt, until i hit the maximum amount of boost i could run with the carb setup reliably..

now, if you want to compete the power you need to make cannot be done reliably with a carb blowthrough system. period you will need a stand alone engine management system..
oh and with the blowthrough system going from track to track, i sometimes spent a day tuning the carb for altitude, not fun, let me tell you..

while i had great results with my blowthrough system the best thing i did for reliability, consistancy and the ease of tuning and troubleshooting was going efi

Because it's easier that way.

They don't use EFI, they use positive-displacement mechanical injection. Huge difference.

BTW - Claiming that carbs make more power because of the pressure drop causing reduced temps is absurd. You lose temperature, but you aren't removing thermal energy from the system, so mass flow stays the same if you're lucky. More like mass flow decreases. Otherwise, you'd make more power by running at part throttle as opposed to full throttle.

I'm still debating whether or not to go efi or use a carb. My motor combo will be the last thing I complete on the car so I have sometime to think about it. I thought there would be more positives on carb setups but it doesn't seem like a good choice on a rotary. I dunno......

Mid 8's would be scary in my little buggy. Did I say I wanted to go mid 8's ? If I did, I was probably drunk.

I won't be going with a 80mm. I'm almost 100% that I'll go with a S400 (75mm Comp) turbo.

I just got done ripping out the motor, transmission and the complete rear suspension assembly today. Hopefully we'll be able to minitub it next weekend.

Picked up the new transmission on Friday..

My 8.8 and 4.56 gear were delivered today

I work monday-friday so my only days to work on it is saturday and sunday.

I have 750 double pumper vacume secondaries will it work yes or no

If no do i have to get a 750 double pumper mechanical secondary

If yes what are the mods that I have to do to the carb or is the a reputable shop to send the carb for mods

Im going to run on pump gas with a t-72 hot side 110 ar with a p trim compress housed 13b 12a plates gsl-se housings 91 internals want to run 15-20 pounds when tunned for start up 8-10 pounds to drive around.
