Best way to clean inside of IC?

Whats the best way to clean the inside of an intercooler? I would assume running kerosene or gas through, but does anyone have another way?

I just won an intercooler off ebay, and I need to clean it up.

Poor gas in the end tanks and shake the hell out of out it. Poor it out let it sit for awhile and blow it dry with a air compressor.
