best wastegate?

What's the best wastegate out on the market now? I'm planning on replacing the apex'i wastegate on my rx6 kit because I track my car so what would be a good replacement? And also what type of work would be involved in swapping it out?

there is no doubt that the best wastegate you can use for your car is from a 1983 saab turbo. It amazingly works well, and its cheap. You dont need to do anything, it just slaps right in-

83 saab turbo eh..hmm ok.. maybe you mean compressor bypass valve... I had a saab once, and the whole car sucked ***, but I digress, thats just my own saab story(get it?)..

My vote goes to the Tial, beautiful craftsmanship, the replaceable seat is hell of an idea, and a nice range of springs..Max

The Tial sure won't bolt to the Greddy ss manifold flange. Anyone feel like making me an adaptor flange?

The HKS standard will not fit on the Greddy TO4 manifold since it is sort of a rectangular shaped flange.
The 50mm Race wastegate will fit and that is a square flange.

I think wastegate placement is just as equally important as the wastegate itself in preventing boost creep.

This is a bad design

who's gonna expect exhaust gases from cylinders 1,2, and 3 to come back UP the 4th runner and make a 90 degree turn.. or who's gonna expect exhaust gas coming out of the rightmost runner to make a 90 degree turn to go past the turbo?

True dat. I've seen some pretty bad wastegate designs on rotaries before, but then again I've seen lots of really sweet ones. Don't have pics right now though....
