beat style exhaust problems

hi i have a n 88 fc3s and i have just installed a ss autochrome beat style exhaust on it.
now it hesitates at 4200rpm to 5000rpm it stutters and power loss.when i back off the throttle power comes back immiediatly then stutters and loss all power again.
why is this ? it ran perfect before i fitted this exhaust.have refitted valve into rubber pipe which used to go to the cat preheat methinks?removed off old exhaust.(hacksawed)
also the heat sensor on the dash flickers on and off .has a mind of its own and i have no cat now.but it done this with the previous exhaust on (standard).
please help.
£330 and have caused myself a problem!!

Did you take the ground strap off infront of the drivers side muffler?

Did you install a Fuel Cut Defenser?
What boost presure are you hitting?
Are you monitoring fuel pressure?
Have you done routine maintence?

boost creep = fuel cut.

put the silencers in until you upgrade the fuel.

fuel cut defenser?
what is this?.where does this go and where do i get it?
there was no ground strap on rear silencer.should i fit one?
routine mainenance was oil change and filter.only.cuts out at 4/5000rpm in 4th and 5th gears only.
all i did was change the exhaust.i used a gas torch to remove the exhaust from turbo would this effect anything?(carefully)
and what about the silencers until i upgrade the fuel.to what?

cheers for all your help you guys!

with the exhaust flow the system has added, you're boosting too high.

the factory computer has a fuel cutoff for overboost. you *CAN* get a fuel cut defence, but then you'll be running lean and motor go boom. so there's no "problem", other than you're running into a factory safeguard.

the safer way to do it would be to either get an rtec, fcd with super afc, emanage, or whatever you can to add fuel.

if you're poor, we all understand that. you can get by with using 680cc secondaries, fcd, and drop your timing back about 3 degrees. porting the wastegate on the turbo will also help.

long story short, you CAN'T use that exhaust system (without the silencers) SAFELY without other mods.

basically, you need to find a way to add more fuel. however you go about it is up to you.

could my actuator spring be weak or broken and not strong enough to hold open the wastegate?

na, it's boost creep.

search around for porting the wastegate and you'll know where to go with that.
