AVCR Boost problem
Hey fellas,
I have a T78 setup with the powerfc. Everything was fine then out of nowhere my avcr won't register any boost. The car still boosts fine(I guess default setting 10psi - if I sound stupid sorry) and runs great, just won't read the boost.
I am guessing my boost controller solenoid is shot, any one have a clue?

The AVCR has its own MAP sensor that is separate from the boost control solenoid. Check that the wiring is still intact first -- you may have just cut a wire or pulled it out of the connector. If the wires are good, the MAP sensor may have failed. I have read reports of them failing if they are placed in a hot area. If yours is somewhere hot, you might want to move it somwhere cooler (like near the stock MAP sensor) when you replace it.

No it's not Turbo'd
I've heard several reports of solenoids going bad, and that this can cause the wastegate not to open, on some controllers, and that the Blitz unit is the only one with two solenoids, but it is possible to loose both, at the same time with similar disasterous results.... supposedly the only fool-proof way is a mechanical controller which if it fails, will open the wastegate all the way causing you to get low boost instead of full boost...

the car only boosts to 10psi, so I am not worried about too much boost. Where do I get another map sensor? Do I have to call Apexi or is there any easier route?
