Apex'i RX6 Turbo questions

I am thinking about going single with Apex'i RX6 turbo.

I have a couple of questions for those with the setup.

Is it oil cooled only?
Does the kit require any fabrications or modifications?
I remember that the wastegate has to be plumbed into the downpipe for noise suppression? Are there anything else that needs to be considered for the install?

Thanks,

Ed

It is oil cooled only, as far as noise suppression make sure you remove the studs for the wastegate and replace them with bolts otherwise you won't be able to remove it from the car without cutting what you welded as it will all become one piece with the manifold. Intercooler plumbing might have to be fabbed depending on the intercooler,if you have a large stockmount it may get in the way of the intake.I think that covers it just ask if you need to know something.

It is oil-cooled only.

It is a pretty thorough kit, so you should be able to just bolt everything in if you have an IC to go with it. I always end up doing a bunch of little custom stuff with this kind of job, though, so I used a fair number of extra supplies like additional heat shielding and vacuum hose and stuff. I also used some Santoprene hose from McMaster-Carr to relocate the air filter to avoid contact with my IC.

Get the wastegate line plumbed into the downpipe for noise supression. Check here for pics of a nice job on that task:

There are lots of other things to address when going single turbo. The IC, fuel system, and what ECU you use to control it are the biggest ones.

Here's the kit installed in my car:
