Apexi RX6 parts....where to find?

Hi all....I am have problems with a seemingly simple problem. The metallic gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo housing on my RX6A is blown. However, I can't find any source for this seemingly simple part. I am going to make one out of some exhaust gasket material out of desperation to get to the next track event, however, I don't expect a homemade one to last long.

Most people who sell the kit, don't actually support the product in any meaningful way it turns out.

This may turn out to be the most solid argument against this turbo.

Any ideas???

Thanks
Fabian

sr can't ( or won't) help.

frustration!!! apex doesn't return my calls, and six turbo shops so far can't help me. i made my own gasket out of some "exhaust gasket" material (Mr.Gasket Ultraseal) but i'm doubtful of it's longevity.

hopefully will get through the day saturday at LSIR.

any other recomendations....especially if you know someone who could help in the bay area.

thanks
fabian

if u had acess to a machine shop u could theoretically make one.. but that paper one is gonna get shot soon .... i also am highly doubtfull of its longevity.. if ray cant help ya at sr.... i dont know who could especially if apexi isnt returning ur calls... i would look for a machine shop to fabricate you an identical part that is the only way i see to do it at this point

i would call apexi and ask for Mas. he has helped me before but one thing you must understand is that apexi is a big company and they dont generally return calls. i would be prepared to wait for that part though. most likely its coming straight from japan. i stripped out the oil feed fitting and it took a couple months for it to arrive. Mas was very helpful and he went out of his way to help me. try calling them again. thats what i would do.

Try contacting Jason at www.jt-imports.com
He's in japan and maybe he can get this part for you.

so far....no part....finally just made one out of some copper sheet.....hopefully it'll hold up.

"....let me call you back" is the favorite catch phrase at apexi.

if i ran my business like these people, i'd be in prison. included in that are all the pseudo- businesses that call themselves authorized distributors. you all know who you are.

i've bought my last apexi product!
