na it wasnt there. i got a TII, but I was just stopping by there to borrow a part from them

I'd have to agree w/ the sleeper thing you got goin on. it might not have been super clean, but still damn nice lookin. i liked your tires and all the red stuff under the hood too

Those tires (A032's for others reading...) are like crack! I highly recommend them since it's the single biggest performance upgrade I've made! You just have to look at them like NO2.....expendable performance!

Glad you liked the stuff under the hood. To be honest, red and black isn't my favorite color combo, but it's left over from the previous owner. I had just finished putting in the FMIC, radiator, and intake when the engine went so I hadn't gotten to pretty it up under there yet........

For the record, I just got back from a weekend at MADS, and didn't have any wastegate problems. I only got the car back Thursday night, and didn't have a chance to get a new wastegate or popoff valve, so I just went for it. I'm still breaking the engine in, so I kept boost at 9psi, but toward the end of the weekend I was staying in it for extended periods of time. Fortunately there weren't any problems. I think I'm going to go the route of getting a popoff for safety, but leaving the wastegate alone until it actually fails.
I also have had problems w/ the apex'i wastegate in track use. After trying the XS fix (it lasted about 2 sessions and siezed again) I ran a .406" (bore is 10mm or .393") reamer through the last inch of the guide. I got to try it out at MADS and it worked like a champ in some pretty hard running.

This was meant to be temporary until I could get a Tial piped in, but I think I will stick with it and see how it does. I'm going to the NASA event @ VIR next weekend so I will have plenty of chance to hammer on it some more.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it isn't just an isolated case. That's too bad. I thought Apexi made better parts than that....

Good luck at the track and let us know how it goes!
