Im sure there are plenty of people here running a streetport and high boost you can see peoples "set ups" in the sticky at the top of the single turbo section

i want to know who is running 20psi with street port or not and what turbo and dyno numbers because i searched all 19 pages of turbo set ups and there were only a few set ups running 20psi or more and a few didn't have numbers everyone say read read read but i have and i keep hearing that a gt35r will fall off about 20psi but people like turboR1 is running 22psi on a t3 gt35r with stock ports and getting over 500whp so i am just trying to find people out there with some info. i am thinking of buying a a spec gt35r but i can only find a few dyno numbers posted

Your not going to make anywhere near 500 rwhp with any variant of a GT35R. It is true that the GT35R is out of its efficiency range at 20+ PSi and your generating more heat then power (by increasing the boost). Also, you can't run 20 PSi on any turbo on just pump gas, you need to run auxiliary injection with water or meth or a mix. An A-Spec 500R-SP/HP turbo will make 500 rwhp at 20+ PSi of boost and so will GT40R or greater but that comes at the cost of being laggier. You can expect 400 rwhp with a GT35R on pump and that depends on what dyno you go to, you'll have to run 16-17 PSi.

i was going to run a t04z, actually i was really looking foward to it...but after talking to an engineer at Garret, i decided against it. i told him my power goals and he said a t04z would get me there but a better choice would be the GT40R. which is what i ended up getting. the reason it is a better choice he said, is because it has far less moving parts and has proven itself to be more reliable and rebuilds are cheaper and well you get the idea. i dont have it installed yet but when i do(about a month or two), i will post my results. probably only 15psi at first though.

Forget about c16 all together. You wont need it. Go with pump gas an an AI setup, either water or meth, or a mix of both. Read up on the benefits of AI, there are numerous threads on this board. Run 20+ psi all day with AI....

What are YOUR hp goals? 500? We can assist you better if you let us know. Simply stating 20 psi, or a street port doesn't give us much to work with as it varies greatly with the setup.
Thewird is right for the most part, you're going to need a larger turbo than the GT35. No sense in pumping hot air or being out of efficiency if you don't have to.

I was just going to tell him about your setup and correct him about the 20psi on pump. The tuner is all the magic when it comes to boosting high on pump fuel...

The engine builder also has a lot to do with it holding together, so thanks to Adam @rx7specialities.
And i thought the 35r was making 500 on some of the setups talked about here.

I really cant brag i just do the maintanence and drive!

I was going to mention Busted's setup as well, and I know there's someone else making 500+ on just pump. We made 519 on pump, no AI at 18.5 psi, 620 at 24 psi on pump with AI. GT4202 turbo. Motor has been at 600 + for 2500 miles and counting.

Busted7 has 8.5 compression rotors, that makes a big difference in safety on pump gas only with no AI...

If I ever see a 500 rwhp GT35R on a street port, I'll donate $1,000 to their rx7 fund.

We have done many RX-7's with a street port and 20+ Psi. Keys are right turbo, fuel and tuning. I would also suggest going with a water/meth setup.

Definitely go with water/meth... and if you're in the area, or even if you're not, I recommend that Rx7Store build it up for you.

and there is the other man of the hour. i mentioned you above TurboR1
why is that your opinion? you made such good numbers on the gt35 do you think if i ran a A-spec gt35 or To4Z it would be better? I have been noticing the To4r getting into 480hp range on 18psi

why push the smaller turbos to 500 they will be at or near their limit, just use a bigger one it will get it done easier. and you will have the option for a lil more horses in the future if you want them. if 500 and change is all you want then they are fine but thats all you will make. they will start running out of steam near the 500 range.

Thats gonna be a large tab sir...

https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/aspec-gt3540r-660563/

Stock 13b-rew and an A-spec GT35R(I think T4) short runner kit, 501rwhp & 426tq on c16 at 22psi.

People have been able to get over 500whp from the gt35r for a few years now...
