I got of these on my street port FD running 20-21psi and will hit 21 psi @ 5300 rpm. I have not been able to dyno. How does my spool time compare with yours, and how much power are you making?
Thanks

i own the exact turbo and will be dynoing it in a couple of weeks.
i do have a dyno sheet from one of Sk8world's pulls and it has boost on it.
on the run which topped out at almost 25 psi he hit 20 psi at 4600 rpm. the dyno sheet is in standard hp which few use and converting to SAE made 604 on a Dyno Dynamics.
there are a number of items that can significantly effect spool so it is a mistake to just look at the turbo. the list is long but porting and tune should be at the top.

Howard and David are correct. Should be hitting sooner around 4600 with a streetported motor. But mine was with a .96 so that will speed things up also. Also dont think because you have x turbo and run x boost it = x power at x rpms. I tuned my motor before this one and made 100 less hp with 28psi!

Thanks for the replys guys.
Re: tuning I do it all myself (EMS stinger ecu).
I figure my home made manifold may be to blame for the late spool. Though it is devided, it uses two seperate pipes that come from the two runners that then merge at the just before the w/g flange without a devider, thus cancelling the exauhst pulses. I dont remember the exhaust a/r but I know I saw either the 106 or 119. Too lazy to pull the turbo to re check, but based on your replys to your spool, it is possibly the larger of the two.
I have tried adjusting My AVCR duty settings to increse spool, but even with 1.55 boost setting 90% duty at 4000rpm in 3rd gear, I will only get 10psi @ 4350 RPM and 20psi by 5300rpm.
Any tips for AVCR settings are welcome.
Other wise I love the turbo, the power is awesome
Im patiently waiting on Howard's tests to see what my turbo can really do.
If it were the larger A/R housing(119) I have, would the spool sound reasonable?
