Anyone have an idea why I am still seeing low vacuum after going single...?

I'm holding about 10lbs of vacuum on a mild streetport... what might be wrong... Looking for other options besides low compression... I will check that soon.
Thanks,
Ryker

Uhm what was it before? Is your boost gauge line leaking? Does your boost gauge read properly at 0 when the car is off? Is the idle speed at 750? 1000?

10lbs of vaccum? you mean inHg (inches of mercury)

either you have a vaccum leak, or you overboosted/flowed your motor and chipped an apex seal

i installed my FMIC and my vaccum was about 12inHg later on that week....

motor blew a few weeks later

I have a autometer boost gauge... I thought it was 10lbs/sq in.
I'll check my lines tomorrow for leaks...been busy... hope to get compression test done soon. I'm not getting on it at all to make sure nothing breaks for now... Oh and Idle is around 800-850 and the gauge does read zero on the off position. Thanks,
Ryker

Ported engines have less vacuum than stock ports.

Its just that its held on occasion at 15 instead of 10... it used to fluctuate inbetween those two...now its more just 10...
Thanks,

There are many variables. Vacuum readings at idle is not the end all indicator of your engine.

Take compression readings to be sure.
