They want $75 for it , might as well do it right and install it externally...

Bosch 044 install pump problems

What happens when the fuel pump (mine is an external bosch 044) is connected directly to the standard fuel tank and supplies a swirl pot which then feeds the fuel regulator (SX)? I got this installed by a well known UK RX7 tuning company (who should know what they are doing!).

I'm having problems with fuel starvation when the fuel tank is around 1/4 full (the engine cuts out). Also the pump is cutting out (ie. I can tell by the noise it makes) when I go around sharp bends (with any ammount of fuel in the tank).

What do you think my best option is? I'd rather not go back to the tuning company, as I just don't trust them anymore.

Thanks,

Adrian

there a guy selling bosch pumps on ebay, none of his listings are comon part numbers like 044 or 040 that were all trained to look for. There all european car replacments. but when i questioned him regarding a high flow inline pump for 600hp turbo application he recomend me this one.
with this answer.

"Yes. This is a high flow fuel pump. The flow rate is 280 LPH at 3 bar and 180 LPH at 6 bar. This pump can support 600 HP vehicle with turbo charge. Thanks for your question!"

heres the link........

he later replied in other emails that this model was also available as intank also for same price.

Unfortunitly i had allready purchased twin wallbros. Otherwise i would have gone with this option.

someone has to take advantage of these prices.
