Anybody running a 4094r or similar on PowerFC?

I'm looking for a base map i might be able to use to start tuning the car safely. I just switched from my bnr's and the map is just so far from what i'd like to start with when tuning. LMK. Thanks.

GT4094r, Tial 44mm wg, 3" DP, 3" MP, St. May. Exhaust, No cats or resonators, CJ Rails, ID 725/1000 injectors, Aeromotive FPR, deleted emissions, Greddy elbow, Greddy FMIC, Bur9eq all around, HKS Twin power, and Magnacore plug wires. I think that about sums everything up.

Ditch those wires, get bigger secondaries, and colder trailing plugs before you start tuning.

What's wrong with those wires? I have been running magnacores for many years.

Agreed ^ i know plenty of people running magnacore wires. My friends dads 13b just put down 790whp and he runs magnacore wires still. bur10eq's for the trailing are already orders, injectors can wait for now. I'm only looking to boost about 16psi or 460whp. i've already did some WOT pulls at 16psi and my injector duty is at about 85-87% duty cycle.

Hit up pfsupercars aka ray Wilson. He has my gt4094r map. I wouldn't feel right about giving it away.

first let me say i love your turbo.

unfortunately it can make 74 pounds of air per minute at 16 psi.

you currently have fuel for 364 hp at 11.3 AFR.

3450 CC times .85 duty cycle minus 13% lag = 2551 net CC/Min
2551 CC is .6739 gallons per minute X 6.35 pound of a gallon of gas =4.279 lbs of gas per minute.

with an air fuel ratio of 11.3....... 4.279 X 11.3 = 699.7 CFM / 1.92 to get rw rotary hp = 364.

so rather than being completely on the right side of the compressor map (73) you can only run to 48 pounds of air per minute. after that your AFR goes above 11.3.

just to check... you are using 4.279 pounds of gas per minute.

4.279/ 6.35 = .6739 gallons per minute X 116,090 (BTUs in a gallon gas) = 78,233 BTUs at 85% duty cycle and 11.3 AFR.

it takes 73,552 BTUs to make 364 hp.

a few variables enter in such as differing lag, fuel pressure but we are in the ballpark.

the purpose of my post is not to be negative, rather, to caution you that you need to follow the other posters advice as to "bigger secondaries" as well as colder plugs...

oh, there really is no map for a specific turbo. maps are injector ontime and ignition advance for a specific injector package and don't know or care what turbo might be driving the airflow.

if you want to totally wring the 4094 out at 16 psi you will need fuel for 75 pounds of air.

75 X 14.471 = 1085 / 1.92 = 565 hp

75 / 11.3 AFR = 6.63 pounds of gasoline or 1.045 gallons per minute or 3955 CC/Min. you want to run 85% duty and figure lag at (at least) 13% so you need 5139 Gross injector capacity.

of course the 4094 does real well at 30 psi

so do uprate your secondaries and enjoy your 4094.

Yeah the performance map on garret shows it to be most powerful at around 30psi i think it was, which is more than i'll ever run lol. I'll be upgrading my secondaries once i get back from Houston in august, bur10eq's will be going in today before i leave. I can tweak maps pretty well, but it seems my map from the Seq BNRs is just way too far off for this turbo. The idle maps are even pretty far off.
