If so, have you had good luck with it, or did it blow right away. My current motor is a stock re-man from Mazda and the compression is very, very good. I am assuming the motor isnt that old. I want to go to a TO4S, but am a little nervous with the re-man.
Any opinions???

How much boost are you running and is it a re-man or a stock re-build from a shop?

I'm just curious as to why you are nervous about this setup?

I have put a lot of To4s on stock motors, but only with PFCs and good
fuel systems. They have run great. Ralph

The stock seals are great for a TO4S. Me and Jayseven are rocketing all over Greensboro with just about the same set-up. We both had our engines installed at the same time and with the same base maps. So far, so good.

A stock reman is going to be your most reliable setup, hands down. I ran as much as 28lbs of boost with no problems what so ever. I abused the **** out of my 7 at the track. 8000rpm launches, cutting consistant 1.50 60' and running high 10's all day at 20psi with no problems.

Don't believe all the fourm bullshit with people saying you HAVE to have a ported motor when you go single turbo. Its just not true. Oh, BTW...your T04S is a tiny turbo so don't think its too big.....just bustin your *****...

Just got my TO4R tuned today on original stock port motor. I believe that my lack of good compression is what is making my car not want to boost past 13 psi, but it pulls hard as hell all the way to 8000 and has the full 13psi under 4000. I will be installing a street ported motor next summer however and plan on running 16-17 psi and might change my exhaust a/r from .84 to .96 at that time. The .84 is perfect for the car now though.
