Another BW 475 Project...

So we finally got the manifold all sorted out and actually made a pull. Boost controller is still not hooked up so its running off the spring only, 17psi. also using E70 only. Made 497rwhp at about 8200. Still have some more bugs to work out, 4 1600's for the primaries is not making the car to happy on the bottom end but she screams up top. Once we get all the bugs worked out well get some 25psi pulls and see what she'll do and hopefully stay together. Car feels completely different to drive compared to the 35r but it will just take some getting used too. Heres a little vid.. car is extremely loud in person.

I've done alot of comparisons with my dyno and local dynojets and have come up with 15% as my correction.
So my dyno is right on par with a dynojet.. Also with the weather corrections yesterday the dyno was pulling about 9% away so the actual uncorrected number would be higher by 9% if i was to turn off the weather corrections..

took the 1600s out yesterday and put in 8 1000cc instead. We retuned and dynoed the car made 503.1 at 17psi. so we cracked 500 with my low boost and my "pump gas" setting which is really cool at 1.97 a gallon E70.
Driveability is way better now and behaves more like a street car. Ill be daily driving it for a few more days need to hook up the boost control and boost gauge still, my exhuast is smashing against my diff brace on shifts so need to work that out as well.. Im saving my pennies for a 55g drum of race fuel now so in the next week or two ill hit the dyno again with the boost control hooked up and more boost since we really werent ready until this point.

Hoes the car with that turbo on the street? What rpm you getting 17 psi by? how does it come on? breaking the tires loose or gradual? i have a t78 now and wanted to change to one of the BW turbos, maybe a smaller variant that can still work with my T78/T4 divided manifold. But if the is 475 is streetable the may consider it.

Car has been running with 28~29lbs of boost for the past few months. It has gone 9.85, 9.99, 9.9x at that boost level. Maybe when it gets a bit warmer out we will turn the boost up to 35 or so and run it again. But for right now it's good where it is..
