not a bad deal at all for a GT35r. i just replace my turbine shaft and bought a rebuild kit for my holset. Came out to be 350 bucks.

Thanks for this thread, saved my ***.

I toasted my GT35R last year, turbine is worse than the OP's, contacted "Turbo's Direct" and its still on, its now $425 so still a screaming deal. Sending mine in next week.

Any Garret dealer willbe able to handle this for you, or you can contact Garret themselves and they will tell you where to send it.

Correct, turbosdirect is out of business, the owner decided to close up shop.

D Walker is correct, any authorized garrett distributor can do this for you.

Bumping this thread as I was just quoted $700+ from a Garrett bb service dealer with the so called "credit". It is a gt3582r. I thought it was gonna be around $400. Anyone have info. as where I can go and not get ripped off? Only damage was the hotside wheel had 1 hard to see chip in three blades. Thanks G

I just used turbos direct as listed in the first post a couple months ago. It was 425 I think, plus shipping both ways. Was a fast turn around and great customer service, I didn't have a snap ring removal tool and they swapped my backing plate to the new chra no problem and saved me a little trouble.

just to add, from the time they received my turbo, they only took 1 day to ship it out. amazingly fast service. don't let their incomplete website deter you. these guys are legit and a listed distributor on garrett's website

You are right. Are they all honest? NO! I was told by a garrett turbo distributor in Georgia that mine was not worthy for the exchange and would only sell me a new cartridge. I demanded my core back and sent it to turbos direct and wouldnt you know it the core was fine for exchange! $450 that included shipping. 3 day turn around. Thanks turbos direct!! G
