so whats your point??? It takes a special person to like, love, own and work on a rotary powered vehicle. and yes your probably right about more not running then running. They are very tempermental and its like having a 2 year old child at the bottom of your feet everythime u drive or work on it. when it comes to those who own shops and work on them for a living it not a ball in the park its really a hard job to do and alot of stress. just my two words since u put yours in

Yes, it's not uncommon for a majority of a production run of sports cars to not be running 16 years later. Don't you think there are now more dead or otherwise out-of-commission 5.0 Mustangs than well-running ones?

1..2..3..4..5..6.. they're all my fault tho, not the cars, like water pump belt breaking and meter fuse being blown at the same time... or running with out a fan shroud... or half assing a front cover and all your oil leaking out... but ive owned 9 rx-7s... so dont hate.

I had a FC from 1996-2002. 146K miles motor never went out on it. Sold it to my friend fell asleep at the wheel flipped it twice. Him and the other guy walked out ok. He said the engine was still going when he got out.

Have an FD now on the 3rd. motor.

2 cracked rear plates. Shift over 9K and you will have some problems.

Turbo Engines:

12AT = 1
13BT = 4
20B = 3 (got smart and quit the 3 rotor scene after the last!)

Blowing rotaries with Panache since 1985

I own an fc3s 88 turbo II.

2 motors in 5 years. dialy driven and weekend raced and drifted.

Stock internals. full exhaust/conefilter/255lbs pump/ 720 secodaries/aeromotive FPR

so far i find this setup very reliable.
