Af61... No Compressor Maps Available!

The Only Numbers I Have For This Unit Are Hp Numbers That My Loyal Customers (thanks Guys) Have Posted. Because I Now Pay Right At $700 For This Unit And Having To Wait Weeks To Receive Parts I Will Not Expend Any More Time On Trying To Answer All Questions About This Turbo..please Use The Search Function For Questions. Not Trying To Be Rude But, Time Is Money And, I Dont Really Make Money On This Unit.
------- Sincerely, Ron.

If my suppliers come through over here I would be more than happy posting my numbers. The dyno would be done on a dyno dynamics(compares to a mustang) and will be April 1st.

Low boost numbers to start then after WI 20psi.

Did gotham Racing test their GR74 kit before they started selling it.....no....because they know what they're dealing with....they know how to read the numbers how to do the research how certain adjustments will react with the performance.....its called experience and i know Ron has PLENTY.

since ron has never seen a compressor map, he doesn't know how much the compressor flows, nor where it makes its best efficiency at.

if he has so much experience, don't you think he'd realise how important that information is?

CAUSE THERE IS NO MAP FOR IT....are you that f'ng thick? It isn't "off the shelf" what don't you get about that.

Oh and he gave me quick run thru on the details of compressor maps yesterday. he knows his stuff...he knows what works and what doesn't. What do you have to show for your knowledge? Lets see your contribution to the rotary community. I'm a loyal customer.

what part don't YOU understand? he's selling an untested product that he doesn't have proper information about, misleading people into believing he collaborated with garrett for the design, and eading people to believe they're going to be above 80% efficiency--which he couldn't back up if he tried.

if there's no compressor map from whoever he buys the wheels from, how on earth would he know it's max 82% efficiency.

you don't have to have a 3-digit iq to see the holes in his stories.

Kind of like oyu're tuning. Remeber the "free tuning so I can learn new software" thread. Why aren't people posting up sheets on the big numbers you have made for them?

This is one of the main reasons i diddnt go with this turbo. I was very tempted to with all the hype surrounding it at first. However there was to many unanswered questions for me. When i saw the pics of the grinded off housings I lost interest. What if the turbo needs a rebuild or a new wheel?? Would we have to go through Ron??

I ended up getting a T04r instead. I must say though i still got it through Ron and he offered the best price I could find anywhere so he gets my thumbs up in that catagory. Its in the mail as we speak.

I hate internet d-bags from california. So what. Please show me where Ron has lied? There was a little misinformation form exited and satisfied customers on the AF61. The D&R forum, run by Ron is full of nothing but facts and specs on the AF61R.

ron doesn't even know them, so how do you know he's right?
he's made claims which have either not been verified, or proven wrong.

i asked him how he "knows" the turbo is 82% efficient and he disappeared after that. he admits to never having seen a compressor map, so he doesn't know what the hell he's selling if that's true.

either that, or he HAS seen the amp and just lied about it. he lied about one of them and bailed out when he got called out on it.

I have to agree w/ guitarjunkie.. I was very interested in this turbo originally, but I have yet to see the info that I would want in order to determine how it would work for my specific setup. That's what compressor maps are for. I understand that you guys don't have the map, that's fine, I'm sure people still want the turbo, but there are people out there that like to do as much research as possible to see if the product will work for them. So I have been turned off from this turbo and the shop for their attitude that has been given to people who are just trying to do their research to see what will work for them.

Well knowing ron, I'd have to say that working on customers cars is more important ot him than some *** stain on the internet.

the shop hasn't attacked anyone.....the customers (us) are defending a very good business against malicious attacks from uninformed slanderers that won't take the initiative to call the business and ask them about the product.....i'm sorry but i don't order anything off the net that has such importance without getting all the facts first.....i talked to ron on several occasions and asked every question i could think of....and he answered them all.

Yeah, maybe the customers are more so having the attitude than the shop, but I still get this feeling of overall negativity towards any questioning of the product, just seems kinda unprofessional to me.
