are you asking how to wire it up, how to plumb it, or how to pick settings in the controller?

The "spring" setting in the Tru Boost really isn't a spring rate setting at all.

I helped a friend figure his out. we got it to work but not sure if we are 100% right on all the settings, it does boost very smooth and holds the PSI he wants.

We had to use the Wastegate crack pressure setting (gAE) but his controller doesn't label this option as gAE, so it was the setting after ALA (alarm). I think it was SCR (put a value of 7).

Then there are boost setting A and boost setting B. We put the same value for both because we didn't know exactly which did what. Or if they are just two different settings. This is duty cycle. The higher the number the more boost your going to have. So we slowly increased this setting and the boost went higher and such. You need to play with the the SCR a little setting and the boost setting duty cycle to get a nice smooth holding of boost at a given PSI. If your boost setting inj duty cycle is too low, the boost will go up and down and surge.

Remeber that with the AEM truboost. that boost pressure that its reading is boost above a sea level value. We are at elevation and I was reading on my PIM voltage tuning his car sea level pressures. So his turbo was getting a work out (He set it to 15PSI, but really it was 18PSI + pressure drop over intercooler at our elevation). Obviously we backed it off after tuning to a level that wasn't going to blow up his turbos.

Here is the basic idea: The spring or wastegate crack pressure setting is the boost pressure below which duty cycle will be fixed at almost 100%. Then it drops to your duty setting. So if I set it to 7psi, duty cycle will be 100% until it exceeds 7psi, then it will drop to my duty setting of say 60%.

The pressure ratio for the compressor on the turbo is based on the compressor inlet pressure and the compressor outlet pressure. The compressor inlet pressure is based on the ambient pressure (based on weather and altitude) and the restriction of the intake system. The more restrictive your intake system and the lower your ambient pressure the harder your turbo will work.
