My friend thinks his is slipping at around 400rwhp, but IS NOT CERTAIN. When the clutch is engaged the pressure plate is what determines how much power it can hold. Therefore, you may be better off upgrading to the extreme pressure plate and sticking with the SS disk. I spoke to ACT recently about the durability of their 6-puck compared to the SS disk. They said the SS disk will outlast the 6-puck by a good margin under all conditions but drop clutch launches.

Here is some more info:

Can you use the ACT HD pressure plate with the RB sprung hub 6 puck disk??
the RB sprung hub 6 puck disk costs $155
the unsprung 6 puck disk is $100
the ACT 6 puck is $114
is the sprung hub worth the extra $55 and will i feel the difference on the street?

Go with the Extreme PP, and a 6 puck. You will smoke the SS disc all the time, and it will not last. You are in a range of power output that requires a bronze puck disc, or a multiplate IMHO. I have run an Extreme PP with a SS disc up to ~350ftlbs, it holds fine once engaged, but is easy to overheat if you slip it at all. carl

well, i have an agressive streetport and a 60-1. i went to the track the other night and ran a 12.1@122mph. i could smell my clutch in my car 2/3 down the track. i am probably going to get the extreme pp and the racing beat or pineapple sprung hub for smoother engagement.
