the car is daily driven on 93 octane. i wish i could afford the $15/gallon for C16 all the time.

we lifted off a lil early because the power started trailing off after 6200-6300 rpm
im not exactly sure why the power is falling off so early, but we suspect it may have to do with the turbine housing size. a presure gauge is going in the exhause manifold this weekend to monitor the pressure ratio.

anybody else have any ideas?

can you post up a log to see whats going on boost wise?

not sound like a hater, but looks like something is wrong on your setup... With a turbo like that you should be able to sustain the power till redline, not only that but your power band is only like 1500rpms long. Thats unacceptable.. plus it looks like he didnt mess around with split timing. 5k+ of lag is not a good way to go.. Is the motor streetported?

His curve looks looks like he's having a wastegate problem.

DJ,

I have my dyno set with 15% correction to equal dynojet numbers.

i dont have the logs showing boost but i do have video of the boost gauge during a pull. trust me, it looks very simmilar to the power curve. ive never personally witnessed a boost gauge needle wrap arround that fast

Were you measuring rpm from the roller(mph)speed?
FD's are notorious for spining the wheels on DD's especially if soft compound tires are being used.
BTW. What was the load(factor)setting used for the run?

Did the boost drop are higher rpms?

boost stayed steady, and i dont think we had any tire spin, we were using street tires, we are aware of the soft compound tire issue.

im not sure of the load factor setting or where the rpm signal was comming from.
im sure enzo will answer that for you

Cris,

Ramp ramp was 150
there was no wheel spin.
rpm signal was from wheel speed.
it's slightly off but not much maybe 200rpms..

Boost was steady and there's no problem whatsoever with creep or boost dropping.

Low interia dyno's tend to show dyno charts with power instantly falling off.
I guess it's because the rollers are very light and sensitive.

Dyno's with heavy rollers like a dynojet don't show power falling off because once you get that heavy roller spinning it's not very easy to stop it so it will level off.
