6 port turbo parts checklist.

Going to look at a potential donor car for parts to gather up. Here's what i've gathered i need from my research. Was going to use an na intake but i've been reading that using a t2 mani makes things ALOT easier.

This is going on my s4.

TII full intake manifold
Compression tube (either homemade or greddy)
TII throttle cable

4x 550cc injectors

T2 afm
T2 boost sensor
T2 map
S4 T2 ecu (no need for an fcd if i run this, correct?)

Stock turbo and manifold (shouldn't matter if it's s5 or S4 should it?)

Bonzai racing oil filter sandwich plate for oil feed.
Drill pan for bulkhead fitting/oil drain (jb weld to the rescue for sealing)

T2 downpipe

6th port actuators, rods and sleeves removed

Cheapo boost gauge and oil pressure/temp gauge.

Intercooler and piping will be handled by whatever is cheap and fits. Going v-mount most likely.

Anything i'm forgetting here? Little parts? FYI info?

Basic setup is what i want to put on the car when i have all my stuff gathered up and am ready for install. Nothing fancy just yet.

TII full intake manifold You're going to have to port match the T2 LIM to the NA ports
Compression tube (either homemade or greddy)
TII throttle cable

4x 550cc injectors
Fuel pump

T2 afm
T2 boost sensor
T2 map Map? Are you talking about the non-atmospheric boost sensor by the knock box?
S4 T2 ecu (no need for a fcd if i run this, correct?) Why would there be no need for a FCD, it's still a stock ECU.

Stock turbo and manifold (shouldn't matter if it's s5 or S4 should it?) No, I would go S5 though.

Bonzai racing oil filter sandwich plate for oil feed. That works, or drill and tap the iron to pull oil from the 'stock' T2 location.
Drill pan for bulkhead fitting/oil drain (jb weld to the rescue for sealing) Just get a T2 front cover, JB weld is for cheap fixes.

T2 downpipe

6th port actuators, rods and sleeves removed.

Cheapo boost gauge and oil pressure/temp gauge.

Intercooler and piping will be handled by whatever is cheap and fits. Going v-mount most likely.

Anything i'm forgetting here? Little parts? FYI info? I would get a T2 water pump/housing

Basic setup is what i want to put on the car when i have all my stuff gathered up and am ready for install. Nothing fancy just yet.

Not using a tII water pump or oil pump. NA is plenty sufficient and my water pump and T stat is BRAND NEW!

Using FD or walbro fuel pump.

Will look into an fcd. Then again, i dont see why i would need one. Explain.

JB weld is for cheap fixes? This is a cheap build. The oil drain isn't going to see high stress. The jb weld just stops the fitting from leaking......like super-caulk. Lol, super caulk.

Will definately be portmatching the intake manifold using the n/a gasket for reference.

Boost sensor/MAP = same thing
No need for an FCD unless you plan on running over 8psi (may be different for S4s)
For stock turbo just buy the FD fuel pump
You can run an S4 turbo but you will need to port the wastegate to 40mm+ (stock is 16mm). Regardless of series you will need to port the hell out of the wastegates
Sandwich plate works good
If you can do the drain with JB weld then great. IIRC it is at a weird angle but go for it. Just make sure it is above the oil level or at least as high as you can get it.

I would reconsider using a stock turbo and stock parts...I've had two stock turbos and they both leaked and boost creeped (with ported wastegates). Spin the compressor wheel of any newer turbo and you will see just how big a piece of **** the stock 1970s turbo really is.

As for the ECU, I would really just get an RTEK 2.0...you are throwing money away with the SAFC/RTEK 1.X setup. You should get a wideband too...
