465 RWHP @ 22psi T04S
Well guys I finally got to turn the boost up yesterday @ Carversion2 in DEL.
Steve “the man” Kan Did all the tuning
Atached is a pic of the dyno graph as I don’t have a scanner. Dyno was a Dynapack, which they dyno operator said there is a 5% difference from typical Dynojets (Dynapack reading lower) You can correct it if you want but for heckeling reasons ill let you do the math
@1 bar (just the spring) 358 Rwhp
18 Psi was 420 Rwhp
Then steve said I was nuts, so I filled the tank up with C16 and turned the boost up. We didn’t go for more boost b/c the difference from 21-22 psi was only 9 hp, and from 22-23 was 3hp. So we were pretty much out of efficiency which isn’t a big deal, just gives me more incentive to go with a bigger turbo
Steve will have to chime in for the afr’s but if I remember seeing the wideband it was 11.2-or so. (with the race gas we could have went leaner, but my haltech keeps getting shaky boost readings (the boost gauge on the dyno was steady, and my crapomeeter gauges is off in all accounts) But since the we couldn’t get the map sensor to give us a steady reading we decided not to go leaner until that issue was resolved.
Overall I couldn’t be happier. The car is running super strong and the drive home was amazing. 22 psi is too much fun on the highway; it was like riding my GSXR750, but faster.
So THANKS again to Steve, Dan(scrub) and the guys at www.carv2.com
And thanks to everone in the single turbo section helping me get this car ready for this, now to pick out a new turbo
Mods:
ITO ported and built motor
850/1600 injectors in KGPARTS rails
PTP dual pump setup, Apex front mount
T04S from the XS-Engineering kit 1.0somthing hot side
OBX (yes obx) manifold, that has been fully re-welded and shure’d up
Tial46mm wg and BOV
Haltech E6K
Dual crane HI-6’s firing LX92 Coils w/msdwires (just firing the leagings) stock trailing ignition
I have a few videos of the runs if vosko or someone wants to host them

Congrats mate,
That car must be a joy to drive. out of interest when do you get full boost?
I'm building an engine at the mo with a to4s street port and am expecting
400rwhp at 1.1 bar.

Tang Divided,
The one video you get to watch the Pettit boost gauge burry itself past 20 psi, I’ve watched it like 30 times LOL
Thanks guys :bigcheese:

Is this a Garrett T04S04 / TS04 or the HKS T04S?
There's a bit of confusion when it comes down to a "T04S"...
Who build the turbo?
The numbers are spot on for a TS04 (lower boost numbers), but I'd expect it to make more power with more boost?
I think the TS04 is good for 30psi?
I'm surprised it start to choke at 25psi.

I believe it’s basically just a 60-1 to4 S .its one from a xs- engineering kit, clouded in mystery, Majestic rebuilt it and said its just a stage 3 compressor wheel. Who knows
I figured it would have choked around 24 psi but o well

They were using like some obscure TA45 / TA51 compressor wheels that we could never find a comparable model for. :P
We knew we were close when we mentioned "TA45", and their tech got quiet.
Still, nice numbers!
