4-port Boost Control Solenoid
The 4-port solenoids seem to have a narrower range of duty cycle where they are effective. A MAC 3-port works well in the 20-80% range. A MAC 4-port more like 30-80%. The ultimate in control, IMO, is using two 3-port solenoids, one for each side of the gate, and using an ECU that is capable of independent control of each in closed loop. Not many ECUs are doing that though.

they sell a high frequency valve which is a semi-custom valve you can buy through MAC that is 12W instead of 5.4W (from what I've read on the internet). It helps broaden the duty cycle range back up a bit.

I searched by part number and found it for $43 shipped. Hopefully it is the same one.
That's the 5.4W version which has the slightly smaller duty cycle range. still fine, but not the same valve I'm talking about.

no idea why the price is messed up. You could probably message them and ask. A few of their other prices in their store are crazy too.
